The articles, guides, tools and emails on this site are general information and education. They don’t take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs, and they aren’t a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any investment. I’m not a licensed financial adviser, and I don’t hold an Australian Financial Services Licence.

Before you make a financial decision, consider whether the information suits your circumstances, read the product disclosure statement and target market determination for any product, and speak to a licensed financial adviser or tax professional if you need personal advice.

Data and calculators

ETF figures such as fees, fund size, yield and returns come from the ASX Investment Products report, and holdings come from each fund manager’s published files. I update them regularly, but they can be out of date, incomplete or wrong. Calculators give estimates based on the numbers you enter and simple assumptions, and tax rules change. Always check the fund’s own documents, the ATO or an adviser before acting.

Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance. All investing carries risk, including the loss of the money you invest.

My own investments

I invest my own money, and I may hold some of the ETFs or other investments I write about. I write about them because they’re relevant to readers, not because anyone pays me to.
